| My wife and I finally got a ride in today Only went about 130 miles but, what a 130 miles....smooth as silk...quite....the only thing I could hear was the wind Also, I filled up for the first time and got 47.13 which I know will get better with time (and not letting it run so long on warm up). Looking forward to our first run to Cherokee and the Blue Ridge Parkway |

| Glad to see you have posted a ride report. I am looking forward to hearing many more. I hope you will post a comparison between the Silverwing, Vstar, and the Burgman. I know they are not all in the same catagory but, it would be nice to read what you liked and disliked between them all. |

| Ron,
I'm glad you enjoy your new SWing. The mileage should go up a bit and I would think you would avg right at 50 mpg. The Swing is a nice smooth bike with plenty of power for you both. I'm curious too about how it compares to the Vstar. Congrats on the Swing. |

| Glad to here you got a nice ride in today. I'm jealous. Last year I was riding with temps near 70 in Chicago. This year we had 9 plus inches of snow this past week. Tomorrow near 50 but lots of rain. March in Chicago so unpredictable. Can't wait to get down in your area next July. Ride safe. cathy |

| To answer some of your questions comparing the Burgman to the Swing: Remember...I had the 400 so the speed and acceleration cannot compare to the 600....the swing seems much more stable close to simi`s (I have the tall GIVI windshield and Topbox)....other than that their pretty much the same...my BIGGEST selling point on the swing was the better access for maint. and the greater reliability. As far as the VSTAR 1100 Classic that I had....there is NO comparison....MUCH bigger,MUCH heavier, MUCH,MUCH LOUDER. But, I never really felt as comfortable as I do with the Swing. There probably will be many who disagree with that last statement, but, I do not care. I love it and that is all that counts. I did the big and the loud, know, I prefer (for me) the enjoyment. I hope this answered some of your questions. |
