With the generous help of Colin I collected the Silverwing from Laurie this morning and rode home in sun but icy wind.

Great ride but glad to be back.

Colin and I used the trip up to Leicester yesterday to visit the Richard III exhibition and the cathedral - both worthwhile visits.

Laurie and Pauline treated us to a meal out yesterday evening and gave us tensies and elevensies this morning between which I sorted out bits and pieces on the 'Wing.

Thanks to all I'm on two wheels again!

Because I don't know the slang, that sounds mildly erotic. Shocked

LOL!

Elevensies is the mid-morning cup of tea and biccies; we had tea at 10 when we arrived and elevensies at 11 just before we left.

Much as I dislike them I took my formerly-discarded Givi muffs and had to attach them to the bike; glad I did as the wind-chill was crippling but only the tips of my fingers got anything like cold during the 3+ hours on the road.
There was still quite a lot of snow on the road-sides for the first part of the trip and there was a frost this morning.

Thank you.
I was quite nervous this morning having been out of the saddle for several months but a few hundred yards made me feel as if had been only yesterday.

I'm glad Mike's enjoying 'my bike'! I was sorry to see it go though.

I can't wait for the better weather so that I can get a proper ride on my new Piaggio X10 - I've only ridden it from the dealer - about 25 miles!!

It'll be cherished, Laurie.
I don't know if it's a Honda thing but I could have been riding The Winged Express - it felt exactly the same.
