I have read a post from 2011 re Scala units. Does anyone have experience with other makes, good or bad. I am interested in purchasing a unit to talk with my daughter on our upcoming trip to California. Are there units than run on rechargeable batteries and how long do they last?

I just installed the Scala Teamset Pro system on our full-face helmets. We've only had one ride with it, but it appears to be a good unit. The headsets are rechargeable and come with a charger. Both can be recharged at the same time. You can find it for under $200.00 on line.

You can also connect a mp3 player or CD player for some tunes.

I use a Sema Bluetooth - works great with their Bluetooth two-way radio dongle and my phone for music. But never used it as an intercom, but I bet it works well. It has rechargeable batteries.
