| Hi All, I just noticed the SilverWing.orgForum was no longer available. I had posted a question there about the originator of a vest patch I bought off that site. Got one response wanting to know the same thing... and that was it. Now they're gone. Anyway, do any of you old time SWing folks who might have been on that site when it first came on line have any idea who might have provided the "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" vest patch?? I've got one and will provide a pic once I figure out the system. After these several years and two new computers, I've lost the info on who I ordered the patch thru. Just wanted to see if they could be provided again; think they were a limited run the first time. By golly... it worked!! |

| Silverwing.org is up.
That said, if you do feel like posting about it there, just post that the info is available on the "other major silverwing board whose name cannot be mentioned here". Let people come looking for it here.
Contact: reinaldo@emerging-images.com David M. Pittle at 369B Third St. #408, San Rafael, CA 94901.
He is the one that made the originals for sale.

| Thanks Dan... That refreshed my memory. I might just check with him. Don't know how many others would be interested but it's a thought. |

| I would buy four of them. It would be nice if someone could talk David in to making limited run again. It would be best if he could sell them either singly or in lots of five or ten. It would be a real pain if someone would have to buy lots of fifty or a hundred. I don't know maybe someone could buy a hundred of them, tac a dollar on them and make a hundred dollars. Hay a work at home, be your own boss job. What else could ask for? |

| Hi All, This is the response I got from "Reinaldo" (David Pittle), the person who first made these patches available:
"Hi Dick, I think I'm still on the SW Yahoo group. If so, there is a fairly detailed image of the patch under my photographs. I can't remember who designed it but they did a bangup job. If you download that image, the patch companies can easily make it. If I remember we chose to have full embroidery even though it cost a tad more--we also paid a little premium for "iron-on" but that doesn't work as well as it should.
I could not honcho this project, but I will go back and see if I still have my computer files from the previous venture. That could give you the name of the company. As I remember, the pricing was all over the place, but things change rapidly.
I had not been riding though the fall and winter, and realized that I was not enjoying as much, particularly as my wrist arthritis made riding less pleasurable. So just about three weeks ago, I sold my bike. I do get a little nostalgic for the group rides we had, and even the times I did some long rides along the Pacific coast, but . . . Actually, I miss flying more. Had to give up my medical clearance. I don't even fly right-seat much because, while I do love the flying, it just brings back memories of climbing through the clouds and getting on top to watch a beautiful sunrise.
Again, I will hunt for stuff in the next few days and send whatever I find, if any. Glad you are still riding".
So, if he comes up with anything, I'll put it to everyone to see if someone would like to spearhead a project to make these patches available. I would but am currently involved in putting the finishing touches on our new Methodist Church that has been rebuilt over the last year and three months. A few of you might remember my mentioning that we had the church wiped out by a tornado here in Harveyville, KS, in February of 2012. Anyway, will let you know any info if Reinaldo comes up with it.

Honcho??
Would someone translate, please? Boss, bigshot, or person in charge. As in; "I'm the head honcho of my household.......'til mama gets home." |

| I understand now. I knew of the word used as a noun, as you describe (the top man, as it where), but not as a verb; ie the act of taking charge. So he means that he would be unable to undertake executive command or supervision of their manufacture in this instance. Why didn't he just say that?!?! You Americans like to make things so complicated. |
