| There is a company raising money got this helmet for bikers ,it's to have heads up display GPS etc, they intend to produce it and the cost will be in the Thousands$ . Only for those with deep pockets for sure. I just seen a write up in Popular Science. |

| Once the helmet is certified, the big differences will be the quality of the maps, the integration of other functions, and the company support.
I think maybe they are better off focusing on adapting their optical system as an added feature to existing integrated helmet comm systems so the helmet becomes a secondary heads up display to an android phone that has a nav app up. This way text messages and caller id can also appear in the display. This method lends itself to porting to IOS as well. Once this stage is complete, then they can worry about a complete system self contained in the helmet that doesn't need to be an extension of another device.
This is obviously a work of passion, but its going to be tough to provide worldwide support. In the end, a company like this will likely be bought up by a company that has the infrastructure to support it. Its a great idea and a logical evolution. |
