I'm in the process of replacing tires on my car. When ordering the new ones, salesman suggested that I replace with a speed rating tire that came with the vehicle. He advised the handling characteristices would be the same as the old ones. Makes sense, so I ordered the same speed rating.
That got me to wondering if the SW tire was also speed rated. It is.
Bridgestone original tires are rated "S" right on the sidewall. That equates to 112 MPH. Don't ever plan on going that fast on the scooter, but its a comfort to know the tire is built to handle that type of speed.
Check your tires out for kicks. Here are the speed ratings that will cover most tires.
