| Great to see Andy Murray take Wimbledon! He is a class act and it certainly was a special day for those across the pond. We get a lot of good scooter advice from the UK - and now they can add tennis lessons to the list! |

| And once again, "England" is the greatest country in the world because "we" won something. |

| Had he lost he would be called Scottish, however he won so he gets called English!

| And now Cameron is calling for him to be knighted! I wouldn't take anything away from Murray's achievement, but why a knighthood?
I'm an avid cycling fan, absolutely love it, watching it, and racing myself, but for the life of me I can't understand why Wiggins and Hoy received knighthoods either. OK, all of them, Murray, Wiggins and Hoy, and our Olympians, are all fantastic athletes, as are the women who got awards, but wouldn't an OBE or MBE be more appropriate than a knighthood?
Our servicemen and women are in war situations, risking life and limb on a daily basis, and what do they get - a medal to say they were there! (I got a general service medal after three months in Aden in 1966 - 17 years old and scared witless. Back home - second class citizen!)
Massive recognition for sports people, two fingers to our service personnel. At least our buddies across the pond respect their service people, both serving and retired.
End of rant!!

| Winger, rant was good, spot on about celebs and sportsters getting honours, I would also add that they get obscene financial rewards as well.
That said, it is nice to see some new faces on the trophies (where ever they be from), well done Andy and the two lady finalists! (Especially for not screaming like a Banshi after every hit of the ball) |
