| Can anyone tell me where I might purchase a trailer hitch for my Swing? I'm not having much luck in finding one.
Thanks for any help, Phil29 |

| You might try sending a PM to your neighbor DennisB. He has always been helpful to people and could tell you a lot about trailer hitches. |

| Do you happen to know his email address? I've looked for it for the last several days but all I have found is that people say they haven't seen anything from him in a while.
Thanks again, Phil29

| Hi Yo, Thanks again for steering me to Dennis. I sent him an email with my phone number and he called me back on the phone. It is a small world but he and I are old acquaintance's. We used to work together years ago at a company called FlightSafety. In fact, I know his whole family. He is going to continue to hold off on the manufacturing until it cools, like the end of September or into October, but he will be back making stuff about that time.
I'm biding my time. I have a 40" X 48" Harbor Freight trailer with 12" wheels. I built it to pull with a BMW F650GS that I sold last year when I bought my '03 Silver Wing. It did okay behind the BMW and I think it will do well with the Swing too. We'll see. I said I built it, it comes from Harbor Freight disassembled in pieces and the buyer has to put it together. Not too big of a project but interesting. I also have an '03 Reflex that I bought new, but it is a little underpowered to handle the trailer.

| I built a trailer from a 50s Coke machine that was in my gas station since new. the bottom was rotted out so cut it all off and made frame from 1x3 sq tubing,,and used 150 lb torsion axles. it weighed 110 lbs when done 230 when loaded with camping gear.. pulled it over 100,000 kms, wore a few sets of 8 in tires out but not one minutes wheel bearing problems ,,had bearing buddys on it. might build a hitch for the SW and try it. I have built over 40 cargo trailers for others. strangest one was one from a guys old crop duster plane he crashed. will try to find a pic of it in my old albums |
