| Hello,
I'm new to the Forum, and this is my 2nd S'Wing. I had originally purchased a new 2001 S'Wing and enjoyed it around the "Eastside" of the Seattle area (Bellevue/Kirkland), but then sold it to buy an '89 Pacific Coast. At the time I wanted something bigger and heavier under me. I used the PC800 for commuting for several years.
I retired in 2010 and we moved out of the big city, to Mount Vernon, WA, where I thought I'd do more riding (away from the horrendous traffic in Seattle), but some back issues (sciatica) had kept me from riding the PC800 much.
I recently traded my PC800 to a fellow in Seattle that had a 2002 S'Wing and wanted a PC800, so it was an even trade.
So this is my 2nd S'Wing, and I'm just getting reacquainted with it. The previous owner had installed a car stereo and ran his Sirius XM radio through it, through 2 speakers installed up front on the glove boxes, and 2 speakers on a rack (facing forward) on the rear. He loved his music (jazz). I've taken the speakers off the back, as I wasn't sure I liked them there. I hope to add a rack and a top box in place of those speakers
One other thing - this scooter came to me (and came to the previous owner) with crash bars installed all the way around. More like trim pieces, really. They look good, although probably not what I would have installed. Some kind of after market thing, I guess.
Glad to have found this Forum and have enjoyed reading a lot of stuff, and re-learning about the S'Wing. I'll post a question about racks and top boxes in the appropriate place

| Hello.
The 'trim' sounds like Fehling's stuff from Germany - definitely not crash-bar material and expensive for what it is IMHO.
Looks good though. |

Looks good though. Thanks, Mike, Yes, it doesn't look bad, and I agree, it is not going to protect the bike, except maybe for the light bump in the garage or something. I'll try to post pictures once I figure out how... I guess I have to have a Picasa or Flicker or similar account. So far, for all the other forums I belong to (model railroading, woodworking, etc) you can upload an image directly from your had drive. Guess that's not the case here, which isn't the end of the world - makes me learn more computer stuff, which is good. Al Carter |

| Hi and welcome from just north of of the Washington/British Columbia border.
I often ride to to Burlington and go over to the coast for a beautiful ride on Chuckanut Drive back to Bellingham, or sometimes from Anacortes or Port Angeles to Vancouver Island. There are lost of nice day rides around the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State and your ferries are great and reasonably priced.
Enjoy the forum! |

| Welcome back to the Silver Wing fold! Amazing how us "retired" types gravitate to the big scoots! |

| Thanks for the warm welcome, folks,
Chilliwing, let me know when you come down this way on one of your "short" rides (back up Chuckanut) and maybe I can hook up with you and ride up Chuckanut. I'm not ready to venture out too far yet, until I get the bike thoroughly checked out.
JeffR, thanks for the tutorial - good to know I don't have to set up an outside account.

| Ron, nice looking Wings and your PC looks just like mine. Well, not quite - I didn't have backrests. It was tough letting it go, because I certainly liked it's looks (and color). But I sure didn't like having to take Tupperware off to access anything. Changing the battery was a pain; changing a headlight bulb was worse!
