This photo was taken on Thursday, 9/12/13, at the Peel's Ferry crossing at Bull Shoals lake in Arkansas during our 240 mile organized ride through the Ozark mountains at the "Scoot the Ozarks" rally in Eureka Springs.  We were hit just moments after this was taken.  I am certain it was a wet microburst!  Torrential warm rain, severe winds & over in minutes with the sun then shining. Ack! (That's me in the red suspenders)

Nice photo but what you call suspenders in the US, we call braces. What you call a garter belt in the States, we call suspenders! Smile

We went through all of this in 1776... We get to use the language any way we wish nowadays! BTW: A bonnet is something an old lady wears on her head and a boot goes on yer foot - has nothing to do with automobiles!

You know, when us upstart Colonials kicked King George III in the nads and declared ourselves independent of Great Britain. One bit of independence we picked up was with the language. Wink

I'm sure you noticed on your recent visit to the US that we have little use for proper Queen's English over here. Come to think of it, considering all the slang, accents and dialects in GB, neither do you folks! Shocked Smile

Language is crazy.

Cargo goes by ship.
Shipments go by truck,
Women wear a PAIR of panties but ONE bra.

We have no use for Queen's English or even queens (Royalty) for that matter.
The other queens (the city, the drag type, and the gay kind) we have no problem with.
