| my first ride of the year The new Lithium Ion cranks fast but it didn't have to do it long as it started and ran flawlessly. I managed 60 curvy miles before I stopped for my supper. |

| I also have a Battery Tender Lithium Ion battery in my 08 SWing and love it. It's been in there for two seasons now and has already started the third season with it. Nice battery. Or is this the second season? Not sure anymore. They say the mind is the first to go. Maybe they are right... |

The battery should last more than 2 or 3 years, my OE Yuasa battery has been on since I bought my Silver Wing new in Nov 2010 so that's a few winters under it's belt. It's usually connected to an Optimate when parked up in the garage. I sometimes get a red light on the charger but after a disconnect, it settles itself down to amber before later going back to green. An occasional check with a battery and charging system voltmeter tester shows the battery still at 100% and alternator function as good. I already have a new battery and a new charger on the garage shelf, but as yet I don't need to use them. |
