Does this seem expensive?

Looking to buy a used S Wing and saw this on
Craigslist. It seems high to me at 4750 waiting on a reply as to mileage and accessories with it . KBB says excellent retail is $3250 what do you all think.

Seem high.  Looks great. How many miles? Would like more pictures to check the condition of the plastic? I would look for one with the oxygen sensor, and ABS.

I agree $4750 is real high. After all, this is October...not springtime when all the Wannabe's come out looking

O2 sensor started in model year 2008.
As for ABS, look at the front (or rear) wheel. You'll see a slotted ring just around the inside of the wheel near the hub. The slotted ring provides the pulses for the speed sensor. It's called a pulser ring.

8 yr old scooter---$2000 I taking a chance----these things not cheap to fix!!

Bigbird, I thought the O2 sensor started in '08. As for the bike in question, it seems high to me. Check Cycle Trader. I have seen 2012's for as low as $5999 (although not recently).

You didn't mention how many miles the scooter had on it. That is pretty pricey for an 05.

FYI. I bought my 05 with ABS at this time last year for $2800. It was in nice shape and it had just over 15k miles on it. It needed tires and the 15k service done. The dealer quoted me just over $1000 for the tires and the 15k service. I did both myself for about $300.

I found my Silverwing on Craigslist. They always seem to have a selection of years and prices to choose from that are within 50 miles of me.

Service manual says after '07. Does that include model year '07? Don't know. Maybe someone with an '07 can have a look and see if an O2 sensor is screwed into the exhaust pipe just before the muffler.

My '07 does not have the O2 sensor.

Howdy brother: I live in Longview (ya know Texas) and I bought a 2008 SW with ABS and O2 sensor in March. It had 392 miles on it and I paid $4000 cash for it. I hope this helps in your research.

Found out it  has 11000 miles on it. Ad says new tires and new battery

I would keep looking Stanger .... that price sounds a bit high ... I got an '03 for $3250 and two years later bought a '06 for $2300.  There are Swings out there at a decent price ... good things come to those who wait (and check Craigslist regularly!!    )

Must be old.The panel cover and the pocket lids are made of painted plastic.Later ones are made of leather like , plastic .Seems to me like 2001 one

My Wing's got pocket lids the same as that and it's a 2004.

2006 was the last year for the color matched cubby lids and the latches are prone to fail. 2007 > lids are more substantial and have similar latches on both sides. Glare from the 2002-2006 lids were bothersome while riding. I believe someone on this site changed the old lids to the new style and has a part number list.

Just my 2 cents, I bought my 04 with 4,700 miles for $2,400 here in Connecticut. It was a good price for this region. Good lick with your hunt.

I would look for a 2008 or newer with ABS.  Honda added an O2 sensor in 2008.  ABS brakes were available from the start as an option, then made standard some time later. Keep looking. There are a lot out there especially this being the end of the riding season for some.
