| Hey Dale, I was just checking out your pictures and I was wondering; how did you find so many Silver Wing riders to go ride with? Some of your pictures show 5 Silver Wings and nothing else. That would be kind of cool to show up in places with just Silver Wing riders. Also, how do they all like their SWings? Those are some cool pics you have posted. Thanks. |

| Jeff,
The first time it was all coordinated via the web off of the yahoo SilverWing group. We had six bikes lined up and then at the last minute one dropped out, oddly enough she now rides a Burgman and the rest of us stayed loyal. Of course it helps that everywhere we ride we start with 2 SilverWings. Have been on one ride we worked through the SilverWing.org site.
But as to how it happens - the bunch of us are fairly local to each other and we try to stay in touch. Although in this world, local is a relative term - 2 of the regulars are in Atlanta and Kim and I are in Huntsville, AL. As we look at big rides we keep each other informed and plan way out in advance.
Strange how the core of our group all started on Reflexes and moved to SilveWings. We are happy with the SilverWings and have no desire to own any other bike.
It is fun to ride in a big group of all or mostly SilverWings. We often go to rides or gatherings and there are few SilverWings - Why? I wish I understood that one.
I've also worked through the lists on various forums to find members/posters close to us and send them e-mails to build a larger local (self) database. We are planning a ride to the Pacific North West from AL and back next summer (16 days of riding) any SilverWing riders care to join? |
