| When I bought my Silverwing the hand brake hardly worked and the dash light was intermittent. I adjusted the hand brake and to start with the dash light worked perfectly, during the past week the thing has stopped working and briefly flashed once today as i pulled the brake on. Is this a common fault and any ideas where to start to sort it out please. |

| Sounds like dirty switch contacts to me.
You can remove the right side glove box and located the hand brake switch there. It's not at all convenient to actually get your hands on in that location but, perhaps, you can spritz the switch with electrical contact cleaner or WD40 so that the switch works better

| Just bought my elderly Wing and the handbrake doesn't work at all. Is this an easy fix for an amateur? |

| It depends on what's wrong. Does the handle pull up at all? A service manual is a must have if you plan to service your scooter yourself. I highly recommend picking one up. |
