Please, can an admin body tell me why I have to log in every time I visit the forum now? That never used to be the case and I do 'look in' most days.

Laurie, I have not had this problem. I forwarded your post to the admin in case they miss it. You might send a PM to Colin B to let him earn the "big bucks" they pay him.  Smile  Seriously, he always appears to be ready and willing to help.  cheers

Laurie, as a first move, try deleting any cookies relating to the forum.

To my knowledge, nothing has changed "backstage".

That'll be £50 please.

On the log in page, is the option to stay logged on still ticked?

I'm in the same boat. Has been that way for several months as near as I can tell. My "cookies" are scheduled for deletion every time I get off the computer. Would that be why?? Haven't done anything different; it just started out one day and has been that way ever since.

Mine works fine too. If you have your computer set up to remove all internet history every time you close a browser that may be the problem too. And like Colin said to click the box to stay logged on. If you have your browser set up to delete all 'interney history' then you may need to change this.

That cookie is essentially your logon.
If browser deletes cookie, you will have to re-log on each time.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll look into it and yes, the 'log on automatically' is still ticked.

For Admin's info... changed my setting to "Remember History" but had no affect this go'round. No big deal though. My fingers aren't bleeding quite as much as they use to and my shoulders are getting use to the extra effort of signing in.  Smile Smile Smile

DickO I think you would have better luck if you didn't let your computer delete your cookies when you close your browser. This is just a guess, try it if you like
