| Can anyone recommend tires for a 2004 Silver Wing for use on gravel roads? I want to ride the Top-of-the-World Highway to Dawson City, Yukon this summer, starting in Anchorage, AK. |

| Fresh set of stock/Honda recommended tires----I had better luck with IRC over Bridgestone on SilverWing.
Scooter can work ok on dirt/gravel=just go slow...or real fast. Car Tires do nothing for handling and bike or rims were not designed for them. Careful on how scooter is loaded. By design/ feet forward maxiscooters are not the greates handling=no tank to grip or footpegs to stand up on....Heidenau may have something that would work....but finding? EU requires winter tires, but I think they are just softer compound. Idea is keep bike upright/no dropping carry tire repair kit and tire pump. And air filter? K & N reusable/long life
AND Rubber boots for you if it rains---I once rode from south to Watson, I think on BC hwy 37, took me six months to clear all the mud from my bike. |

| It is never good riding feet forward on gravel roads,on a scooter loaded down with all the gear needed for such a trip , facing many road construction with miles of loose gravel. These conditions can stress most riders .The average age of Swing riders are pass 60 yrs of age and older.Reflex 's not so good and healing time can ruin a season's riding. For me , triking my swing has eliminated the loss of control on gravel riding. Put some gravel riding time before your trip so you won't get any surprise .Good luck ,have a safe trip let us no how you make out. |
