| I have been waiting for this since November of last year when a Sena Rep at a Florida bike show leaked the news ...... We can now talk with other brand Bluetooth users via a firmware update.
From the Sena website ..... "The version 5.0 firmware upgrade will allow cross-brand interoperability with different brands of Bluetooth headsets, in addition to added support for many of the newest devices using the latest Bluetooth technology. The new firmware will also provide Advanced Noise Control technology to the intercom feature to eliminate background noise and to offer a robust wind noise suppression." |

| I am *really* looking forward to the Universal Intercom. I'm going to try to use it bike-to-bike, but it would be truly awesome for a pillion if you already own one SMH-10. |

| Tracey and I use ours bike to bike and we found it's good for 1/8 to 1/4 mile depending on the surroundings. Populated areas generate a lot of noise while only being a city block apart. Away from civilization the intercom is clear and just fades when the distance is widened. Using the i-Phone for calls or music it's crystal clear. I'm curious to see what the firmware update does for the intercom noise. |

| More research is needed here! I lost intercom, MP-3 and the CB when I sold the Goldwing. |

For us it came down to ease of operation, two buttons on the Sena vs multiple on the others. Second was sound, we wear ear protection so volume and quality was a factor. Sena does offer a mount for those that use ear buds while riding, not legal in some places but who will know. |

| My hearing aids are blu tooth enabled so I need to see how that can all integrate. Some study is going to happen soon. Thanks for the enlightenment. |

| I have been using the Cardo G-4 for a while now really enjoy talking with my friend on our rides. I am gong on a long trip in April and for the first time using a new up date from them, I will be able to use my Ipod wirelessly. The radio is also nice but has limited distance. The smart phone is also Bluetooth and works like a charm as well as the Garman GPS. Expensive toy but the best you can buy. |

| Yes, you can use the SR10 adapter.
For details you can contact Sena at support@senabluetooth.com or call them at 1-866-300-1235 or (408) 300-9797.

| I use the SR10 two-way adapter with a SMH-10. I had to make my own cable to interface with my ham radio, but not too hard. You still will need to find a place to mount a PTT button. |

| I'm using a Midland 75-822 CB that I had along with a Sena AR10 and a pair of Sena SMH5 headsets on my BMW C650GT. I get clearer CB from the CB that was in my previous Goldwing without the wired headset. Phone use is very clear as is the helmet to helmet intercom. I'm very pleased with the results. Everything but the CB is hands free and there's only the PTT on the CB. I use a PTT button plugged into the AR10 on the left bar. |
