| I know many of you have fitted GIVI AirFlow windscreens to your SWings but has anyone tried the likes of a PUIG clip on aerofoil or similar instead. I know the GIVI is good but I rather like the neat look of the standard screen, it's just the height makes it buffety for me at speed. I also thing the PUIG clip on aerosol deflector looks quite neat. |

| I googled Puig Airfoil screens and came up with a very interesting technical pdf. paper, which focused on aircraft wing design but no actual windshield or laminar accessory info.
Do you have a link for specific info on your Puig clip-on that might also include some information.

| I bought Meldrew's unused MRA X-creen Tour spoiler off him because he couldn't be bothered to fit it. They're a bit like an adjustable Laminar Lip than you screw mount or alternatively clip to the top of your screen. I'd like to tell you what it was like but I couldn't be bothered to fit it either and swapped it for a pair of new winter gloves with an old biking mate a few weeks ago. |

| I too like the look of the stock screen and in town riding, it works great, but at highway speeds, not so good.
I tried the lamar lip on a Helix one time and didn't think much of the results. I did try the full Givi screen and liked the difference between the stock and the Givi, but when I bought the current Silverwing, the adjustable Givi came out and I took one look at it and I had to try it.
I am not sure that the top of the Givi adjustable wouldn't work on other motorcycles and had considered adding it to a cut down Goldwing windshield to give me flexibility on it, but never did locate just a top portion of the Givi 214. I contacted Givi, but they never responded to my inquiry. I even tried to buy just the brackets for it, but to no avail. |

| Tim, I found a picture of one. It's not on a Silverwing but still a Puig-screen-with-aerofoil. Honda NC 700 X Puig screen with aerofoil link. |

Kiwi Dave from the Burgman forum is a Givi dealer that offers good service, check out his site. His site lists mostly Burgman stuff but he will get you anything Givi. I know you can get just the top part. He is easy to deal with and fast service. Kiwi Daves Givi site |

I sold the Goldwing, so that option is gone, but I might consider using this Givi option on my Drifter. I will contact him soon. |

| Having had a look on eBay it looks very similar to a MRA X- creen 'Touring’ spoiler. I brought one back from Germany but didn't fit it onto my Airflow and sold it to old Brubaker who's already mentioned that earlier. As the Puig is also German made they're probably very similar to MRA spoilers, and maybe even made by them. Whether they have the same type of adjusters I don't know.
MRA also do a Silver Wing screen with a spoiler already fitted which may also be of interest, and similar screens were fitted to some Burgman models in Germany.
If you want to know more about the MRA / Puig type of clip on or screw on spoilers, you should have a look on YouTube, there's quite a few clips showing you how to fit the MRA by clip or screw and how to adjust them. |

| Thanks Meldrew, very helpful. Belfast Honda quoted me £120 for a Givi Airflow screen from them and around £75 for a PUIG spoiler doesn't seem best value on the face of it. Maybe I'm weird (probably!) but I quite like the look of the stock screen with a spoiler attached, though the Airflow also looks great!

| What about the Silver Wing screen with an MRA spoiler attached for £89 from www.bikehps.com then? "That's a good deal, so it is!" |

| #1 Doesn't Puig come from Spain?----I bought one for my Daelin 125 scooter while I was in Korea.
#2 I bought/tried MRA spoiler=save your money.
Givi adjustable does the best job on SilverWing......have purchased, used 2 different Clearviews on SilverWing. All boils down to the basic design of maxi scooter.....you nose is too far from tip of screen as are your hands for any decent weather protection.
Current new scooters, Vespa with right screen about the only way for calm air. |

"That's a good deal, so it is!" Interesting idea Meldrew! I like the potential... Has anyone used one of these on a SWing? Took a quick look but didn't see any supplier in the US of A but quite a few on eBay so... |

| I have the MRA X-screen on my SW and I find it's pretty good. I've not had the airflow, so I can't compare, but I get way less noise, wind and buffeting about the head than the stock screen. It was easy to fit and I am content with it. I set it so I can see over: have a beaded seat + sheepskin for a little bit more height and comfort. |

| There are lots online.. I got mine from alaskaleatheronline.com , which seemed best quality. The large one. It looks great and feels fab to ride on long distance. Repels rain a bit, fits on with clip strap under seat. I take it off if I leave bike when wet weather expected, and if traveling in really wet weather- often here in UK- I just use beaded seat to stop puddle gathering in the gentleman's area. |

| I got a very reasonably priced sheepskin from Lambland in the UK. No straps or gadgets, just a nice sheepskin. |
