| Hi,
My name is Brandy and I live in GA. I have had my SWing almost 4 yrs and use it to commute to work and run errands. Now that I have gotten really comfortable riding my husband is looking to get one so we can ride for fun. Just saw one listed 2005 w/18K for 2995. This seems a little high to me and I'm not sure what I should be most concerend about. I really want him to get one so we can make the most of our weekends. The North GA mountains make for some exciting rides.
Look forward to chatting with other SWing owners. Brandy |

| Hello and welcome!
I'm no expert but I don't think 18000 miles for a nearly 10yo Silverwing is high. |

| I just traded in my '07 SWing with 34,000 miles on it and it ran like new. If it is running good and looks good that price is close but you should be able talk them down 200-300 dollars. Check the tires and ask when the belt was changed since those would be your 2 biggest expenses. If the belt has not been changed you will need to do that right away but I put a Pictorial on this forum where you can do that yourself. My 2 cents. |

| Thanks for the advice and the enthuastic welcome. He said the belt and tires have been changed and I did test ride it and seems ok. There was a slight squeak in the rear, maybe the age and the fact it has been sitting for a while. He says he is firm on the price so we are waiting to see if he still has it next weekend. I can't wait until my husband gets comfortable riding and we can hit the road on the weekends. Thanks, Brandy |

| Brandy, Two things: 1. Make sure your husband takes the motorcycle safety course. 2. Get a Swing with ABS.
These two things can save a life. Good luck to you both. Ride safe. |
