HI, David M here. Got my Silverwing last October and put a couple thousand miles on it over the winter here in Portland OR. Figured it was doing o.k. so I put a new rear tire on her and took off the see the great American Southwest. Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho. I'm 69 and had a blast! Great machine. The only thing that surprised me was how fast the tires wore out. I rode over 4800 miles and now have to replace both tires.

What kind of tires did you used that wore out at 4800 miles?

        

 

   

Echo...... what kind of tires were those that went 4800 miles only?

The tires were Bridgestone, but the front was already a little worn, and the rear developed a slow leak which I didn't catch in time. I travelled several hundred miles each riding day. Lesson learned. The scoot was awesome! Cruised comfortably at 70 all day long. One day was 12 hours. The Harley guys can sneer all they want- that machine is comfortable, has plenty of power to keep up with freeway traffic, and is simply a joy to ride. Looking forward to many more trips.
