New to the forum and the Silver Wing...

Hello!  I am new to the forum and to the Silver Wing. I like the forum but haven't been able to get posting down.I hope this works, I don't know how to contact anyone yet for instructions!

Welcome to the site. I believe some of the functions, such as PM, are restricted until a certain number of posts have been made. Probably to prevent unwanted spamming. Anyway, you have started and I think you will enjoy this site. There is a lot of useful information in the maintenance section. And some not so useful, but entertaining, in Kurt's Korner. On second thought, some of us need to laugh, and not get too serious about an endeavor that is supposed to be fun. Enjoy the ride.                              

Thanks folks! I have only put 140 miles on it so far and I love it! I have been riding since 64 and owned 28 bikes but this one is really unique. I can throw it into a turn like a sport bike or inch through traffic comfortably without always having to get in and out of first gear.
It is smooth, quiet and for a 582 with an automatic tranny it has more power than I expected, it even seems to have compression braking which is rare on an automatic.
Now I know why people who own them have raved about them so much. I did order the Givi AF-214 for it though to cut out the buffeting.

Silverjoy I think you will like your AF-214 when you get it. Three more posts and you will have the five that you need to send PMs.  

Welcome Silverjoy! This is one great site to meet fellow SWing riders and get some good info for just about any question you might have. I've been here since around February of this year. I got my first Wing in April from my sister in FL. and have found this site very valuable with friendly people here.
