Hello from Dallas

Hello from Dallas, Texas. I just picked up a new 2012 Swing for a good price from Dallas Honda. Have been riding for around 50yrs and about 6 yrs. ago started commuting (around 25 miles round trip – no highway, just local roads) using a Yamaha Majesty (which I loved) and got used to the CVT and not having to shift. Sold the Majesty and was sorry so thought I’d try a Swing. Will do another write up after I have some miles on her but so far it’s been a great ride. The Swing’s a little heavy but that will be good if I do some touring on it. I have a 650 V-strom but it doesn’t see may miles and I may sell sooner or later. Anyway, howdy. I’m impressed with the site and tech tips etc. and plan on contributing where I can. I wonder if Honda will re-offer the Swing in 2015. Yamaha skipped 2012 (if memory serves) on the Majesty but picked up in 2013 but may drop again in 2015… Oh well.

Welcome to the site and congrats on your SWing. I had a Majesty before I bought the SWing and enjoyed that bike as well. I like the SWing a litter better since it is more powerful and is a twin cyclinder motor mounted to the frame instead of the swingarm. But the Majesty was a very good bike and very comfortable. We all hope you will be an active member here.
