| Just jumped up from a SH150, which was a little inadequate for 250 # me. Got an 02 SW with 24000 miles on the clock, no oil burning, belt, tires, brakes all good. Some garage rash, but I have lots of that, too! Now, I have something that I can tour on with my son on his 2012 Heritage Classic Softtail. I'm having fun again riding, without worrying about someone running me over because I can't keep up. Not having to try shifting with a left foot that has been crushed is a bonus, too!
Guess that's about enough about me for now! Thanks,
Rick |

| Rick,
Welcome and congrats on your SWing. You will have no problem keeping up with your sons bike. The Swing really scoots along. |

| Welcome - I went to the scooter-side on a Yamaha Majesty 6 yrs ago and got used to not shifting. Bought a V-Strom and discovered I'd been spoiled so went with the SWing and have been glad I did. Still have the V-Strom 'cause I can't quite get myself to part with it but the SWing is the bike-of-choice now. |

| The SWing can keep up and even beat a couple of Harley's. I don't which ones the SWing can beat but if it is s stock Harley you will stay right with them. I came from the Majesty, which is a great scoot, to the SWing and was very surprised with the power and speed. |

| One of my favorite things to do with my SW was to beat Harley Sportsters off the line at stop lights. The SW always won and I suspect the SW even has the Sportsters with the stock 883 beat at the top end too. I've had a couple chances to try my BMW 650GT against the HD Sporties now and it wipes them out even worse. Can you imagin the chagrin of a Harley rider being "scootered"? |

I went out for a ride yesterday, was cruising down Archer Avenue through the Palos Forest Preserve near home, just going easy, when a group of about 20 HD's passed me, all loud and barky. Cranked the throttle, was up with them in no time. Group had to stop at a light, a whole bunch of them turned around to check out the scooter that kept up with the "fast 'n loud" bunch. It was my first time over 70! Rock steady!! So, who needs "fast 'n loud"? Not me! |
