| Have read occasional posts from those using Ortleib bicycle panniers on their SW's. Knowing little/nothing about them, did some online searching, and there appears to be many varieties of Ortleib and other cycling panniers. Went to my nearest REI which carries an extensive variety for online order, but they had pretty much zip on the shelf for me to look at.
To those who use them, can you please tell me and/or post a link if you can to those that work for you? I would be using them primarily for carrying clothes & other light items on camping trips. Thanks! |

| I haven't read any posts from anyone using Ortlieb bicycle panniers on their Silver Wing in nearly 4 years on this forum. You'd have trouble fitting a pair too, each pannier has clips to attach to the front or rear carrier rails of a bicycle. They aren't linked together by two adjustable straps like throw over motorcycle panniers.
Ortlieb do make a couple of sets of throw over motorcycle panniers, I've seen them for sale over in Germany and also advertised in motorcycle magazines. A few minutes of online searching from you should find you the US importers.
What you may have read on here is members using Ortlieb rack packs or rack sacks, I have a few in different sizes and have been regularly using them since my BMW GS phase in the early Nineties. In fact I had a large Ortlieb rack pack strapped behind my seat when I was riding in Germany earlier this week. Mr John Grinsel is also another long time user of of these bags. |

| Ortlieb throw over motorcycle bagsl are available from Aerostich in US.
I use Ortlieb bags on passenger seat of my bikes. The bags seem to last forever and remain waterproof for their entire life |

An important feature and unlike some other expensive makes. |
