| I am very sorry to hear about what has happened in Canada with the terrorist attack. I wish all of you the best and hope that the world will give any assistance if Canada needs any. I know the Canadian people are very strong and proud and I just wish you all the best and pray for the families who lost loved ones. |

| We tended to think that "nice" Canada was immune to all the international terrorism. Not any more. I think we just got our "9/11" wake up call, first in Quebec with that poor soldier being attacked in his vehicle, and yesterday's shootings in Ottawa. It's a sad day not only here, but all over the world. Thank you for your good thoughts. |

| No country is immune from this kind of activity as the US, UK and now Canada has found out. Sadly it is unlikely that this will be the end of it. Though not always apparent and often said Canada does appreciate the support of our neighbours across the boarder. Our contribution may often seem small compared to yours but we are united in the fight against these acts of violence. |

| I add my thoughts and prayers - Colin knows I go to church and take my Faith very seriously. I am certain the priest presiding at the service tomorrow at St. Thomas's, my church, will offer prayers for Canada - I'll be there as usual on a Friday.
However awful this sort of thing is, when a country suffers from these wicked people directly for the first time, it adds to the resolve of those who've 'been there' to join together to counter such evil.

| Let me add my support and prayers to our northern neighbors. Sad thing that anyone needs to deal with crap. Mike you sure have a beautiful place of worship. |

| Thanks, Roger. It certainly is a lovely church, worshipped in by a couple of hundred people on Sundays and visited by thousands from all over the World during the year. The foundation is older than the cathedral, having been established as a place for the cathedral builders to worship in.
The priest this morning did offer prayers for Canada as well as for all others affected by war, terrorism and disaster. |

| Good citizens everywhere are horrified by the goings-on in Canada; and elsewhere in the World. This is like a systemic infection that leaves no country or people immune to it. Psychopaths are relishing the fact that they can now blame their actions on yet another entity that has set up shop; and have a similar ideology and outlook on Civilisation. Good citizens will also support each other in times of need as we are in Canada. Thank you all for your kind support. |

| The world is indeed all screwed up. When we hear of the the world's tragedies on the news, they are usually so far removed from us that the thoughts that they will never happen here. I don't really agree with the Quebec or Ottawa incidents are any more related to terrorists than the attack on the Mounties in New Brunswick. These all seem to be nut cases that got loose with guns and for what ever warped reason were out to cause damage. Moncton was certainly terrorized in early June; and no doubt so was Ottawa until they got the nut! But look at the lives they ruined in such a short time. The nut case in Quebec got loose with a car. The media seem to do all they can to turn nut case actions into terrorism - and this is sad too. It is so easy for the world to change just because of the actions of so very few. Look at the damage Timothy McVay caused years ago. Was that caused terrorism then? In our part of the world it is good that two large countries like the USA and Canada live to the same standards or we could be in a state like parts of Eastern Europe. |
