Hello from Southern Michigan

Hello Silver Wing Forum members and Happy New Year from Southern Michigan.
I have been an avid motorcycle rider since 1973 then in 2003 I got involved with scooters. First it was a Honda Helix and now a 2004 Silver Wing. What a great ride and I have no desire to go back to cycles. I will post some pictures later of my SW.
Looking forward to many interesting articles and pictures from your group.

Welcome. I love Michigan I went to college at Adrian College there. I'd love to bike there this summer, since I have a friend north at Douglas Lake.
I also had a Helix and have just bought a new red 09 Silverwing, it's still at the dealership! I'm so anxious to get it home in March and learn to handle the next size bike. I hear such good things about the Silverwing I'm so excited to take it out for it's first spin.

Greetings to Southern Michigan from Northern Michigan (Marquette). Actually grew up in Troy, MI when it was much smaller. Have been in Mqt since June, 1970, retiring in 2002. Too thick headed to move south, I guess. My Swing is in a rental unit with my Reflex. We are all just waiting and waiting. ... and waiting. Hope you find the Swing to be as comfortable and useful as I have. I ride alone and may never see you on the road but wish you the best.

I grew up in Clawson (Class of "75), then went to Northern Michigan University before moving to Colorado after I graduated in 1980. I still have a bunch of friends that live in Marquette. Do you know Cal or Patti Barton? Or Keith and Cathy Barton? or Jim Supanich? Ed Millar? Tom Leone? Tim Eldridge? Mike DeVooght? Laurie (Henriksen) Vargo? Karen Swenor?

I really need to get back to Marquette...

Swenor is a name up here but I don't know any of these individuals.
A John Vargo was in charge of the Bay Cliff Health Camp in Big Bay. Knew of him but never met him.
I worked with a Bonnie Eldridge years ago.
I'm not in any social circles. Just have 5 kids and 7 (almost grandkids. Have two sons still in Mqt with their 6 (almost 7) children.
