| Been chewing over the idea of fitting a Givi Airflow screen and read on here about the Kappa equivalent and decided to take the risk and give the Kappa a try.
Ordered it from here....
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351397205303?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Here in the UK the Kappa price including postage is around £103 (UK Pounds) whereas the Givi would cost around £140 from ebay and around £160 from a dealer's showroom.
Let's hope the gamble of ordering from Italy pays off! I'll let you know.......
Cheers all
Riggers. |

| I would love to find out whether the Kappa screen is indeed just a re-badged Givi or a different quality. Everyone seems to have a different opinion on this. I ordered my Givi from racing planet in Germany and since it was GST free ( export ) it was less than half price of what I would have paid in Oz. |

| When it arrives Gremlin I'll post on here my views about its quality. Only snag will be that I've never seen a Givi screen in real life to compare it to....... |

| The Kappa is a Givi that has Kappa badge or the Givi is a Kappa that has a Givi badge. Lazyfox said "I have both (although on two bikes) and they are the same product." in the post he made in the following link. I am trusting his opinion since he has both in his possession. | I hate to say it but I think there may be a problem buying from the above e-bayer.
I placed the order (and paid for it) on 19 September (last Saturday) and they haven't even marked the order as dispatched yet.
I've sent them an e-bay message asking if there's a problem but heard nothing (they may not understand English I guess). Estimated delivery is around 6th to 12th October so I reckon I'll just have to sit and wait and see what happens. Too early to open a case in e-bay. Fingers crossed....... |

| It can sometimes be a pain in the butt ordering stuff online.
I ordered a set of Schuberth M1 German flag side visor stickers from an internet motorcycle accessories company on 24th July, and I'm still waiting. They said I'd have to wait 3 weeks because Europe was on holiday. They also had these stickers in UK, USA, Spain, Italy, and France. I'm been onto them a few times by email and on the phone and they're very apologetic but they still don't have the German flag or any other of the national flag stickers they're advertising.
A couple of weeks ago I ordered a set of UK flag stickers from Moto Legends on a Friday and they arrived on Tuesday and they're on my helmet.
I was in FC Moto in Würselen near Aachen yesterday morning after a Pinlock visor for my helmet, they advertise them on their website but didn't have one, neither did their partner shop in Aachen which is so well hidden I couldn't find it when I walked up and down the street twice. The guy in FC Moto checked their database for me and was amused that I'd been up there because according to him it's very well hidden. He was disappointed they didn't have the Schuberth M1 Pinlock for me because it was raining heavily. He thought the Louis Mega Store a few kilometres away back in Aachen would have one so I rode back there and they didn't have one in stock either. ( I'd already bought a load of gear in the Louis store in Bremen when I was up there, just thought I'd call in at FC Moto as a detour before doing the autobahn run via Liége and Brussels to Zeebrugge for the ferry.)
It's 24th September tomorrow and two months since I order the German flag stickers so I'll get onto them again. It'll be interesting to hear what they have to say, especially as I got UK stickers in a few days. They also have M1 Pinlocks on their website, it'll be interesting if they actually have them in stock, and if they do have them they can send me one instead of the stickers.
I hope you get your Kappa Airflow sorted, if not buy a Givi from Bykebitz and you'll have it in a few days. |

| I took a gamble ordering the KAPPA from Italy - reason being I would potentially save around 50 quid.
It may still come good but I reckon I've just got to be patient for a few days to see what happens. |

I like the idea of the UK flag stickers, bit I couldn't find them on the Moto Legends site. Any chance you've got a link for them please? Thanks Graham |

| I've just looked on the Moto Legends website and the Schuberth M1 UK flag visor mechanism stickers are no longer listed, why that is I've no idea. They were there from July until early September when I ordered my set.
I cancelled my order for M1 German flag stickers with the other mail order company today. I was told in July there'd be a three week delay which I gracefully accepted, but nine weeks is unacceptable and they still haven't got them in. They are going to send me a Schuberth M1 Pinlock visor instead, and I've had an email saying my order is 'being prepared' and I'll get a tracking number. |

| Well my KAPPA KAF214 Airstream arrived yesterday from Italy, and thanks to the excellent Pictorial instructions on this site from Jeff it was fitted and working in about 30 minutes.
Firstly I can confirm that the Kappa is IDENTICAL to its Givi brother - only the name and badge is different. So my advice to anyone wanting to move to an Airflow would be to save yourself some money and buy the Kappa.
Having fitted the new screen I took the bike for a test ride and couldn't believe the improvement. All the battering from the wind above 60mph was gone along with 90% of the noise. I took the bike up to 90mph (sorry officer!) on a stretch of dual carriageway and it remained stable without any signs of speed wobble.
I didn't bother fitting the much talked about 'little brackets' because I couldn't see what purpose they served, but having read right through the main thread in the Picture Guide section I think today's job will be to fit them 'just in case'.
All in all a great improvement. |

| Riggers...............is this the same screen that you bought http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KAF214-WINDSHIELD-SLIDING-AIRSTREAM-KAPPA-SPECIFIC-HONDA-SILVER-WING-400-/351397205147?hash=item51d0e7d49b form the seller in Italy. For some reason this one is cheaper than the other ones he advertises but are all called Kappa KAF214. They're advertised as fitting SWing 400-600 which I'm assuming are all the same fitting etc. Been fancying getting one for a while and with the glowing report you've given it would be a shame not to buy on at that price.

Great to hear that you got a good deal on your Kappa and you are happy with it. Could you please let me know what is the description of the material that it is made from, eg: Plexiglas, Altusglas or so............ it should be printed on the screen |

Den Yes that's the one Den, and the price on your ad is even cheaper than the price I paid. Dispatch was a bit lengthy for some reason - I guess he get the screens to order - so your screen is dispatched up to 10 days after placing the order (mine was a bit quicker). And then of course you have to wait for it to travel from Italy. But for the price I reckon you can't go wrong! |

Den That's a cracking price Den, and around £15 less than I paid! Incidentally I removed a "Made in Italy" sticker from my screen to find "Patented by Givi" underneath"!!! Riggers. |
