| yes, I do like the Vespa setup too, one of these days I will get another one just for old times sake. And even though I did do thousands of km in Europe decades ago on a Vespa, in those days there was not much else around. Major drawback are the tiny wheels; on most Australian roads they would get swallowed by the numerous pot holes. Their stablemates Aprilia make similar scooters, but faster, bigger wheels and much better brakes. And they don't have the astronomic snob factor retail prices for a scooter the production of which has been outsourced to low cost countries. |

| Thanks, John. That is an interesting article on "Scootouring". The Kymco maxi is an intriguing machine even if it is heavy and expensive. I was able to log on to the RoadRunner site and read the article even though I don't subscribe. |
