| Does anyone have any ideas for a flag mount for 2008 Silverwing with a Givi Monokey Trunk on the back? I have looked everywhere and found one trunk mount but it requires drilling a hole in the trunk, which I am hesitant to do. I am riding with the PGR and really want to find a respectable mount. Everything I have seen on here refers to Dennis B and his flag mounts. It is possible to find one?
Any ideas are greatly appreciated and Happy New Year!! Thanks, k |

| I have a rack on the top of my box and use a rack flag mount on it. However, that is the same thing, it requires drilling the box. |

| A flat piece of metal, mounted between your box and the box mount, run out to the side of your Givi Box with a hole in it for a traditional mount would seem to work.
Loosen up the Givi mount and slide it between the box mount and the rear shelf. |

| Here is a Silverwing with rather large flag mounts. He utilized the license plate bracket ...... https://share.shutterfly.com/share/received/welcome.sfly?fid=569fc6e03104b4d4&sid=0IcuXLNq3ZsWMi |

| I am watching this thread with interest for ideas. I ride with the American Legion Riders and the Patriot Guard and a decent flag mount would be great. |

| If you plan on a large flag I'd put a regular receiver hitch on a bike and mount the pole there, down low. A 3' x 5' flag has a lot of force at road speeds. |

| Oldwingguy, you are correct. Wind force at road speeds will do a lot of damage to weak mounting structures.
You hit a pond one of my idea's of many years ago...And that was to do a lower receiver mount attachment for larger flags. I canned this idea because of the cost of the hitch receiver + lower flag mount accessory + the upper pole slider mount. All of these would add up to a very expensive set-up. And so the idea was trashed as a viable product for production.
As a group of smart people, You have come up with some great idea's to solve your scootering needs...Don't stop, keep the idea's flowing forward and work together. |

| Thank you all for the great ideas and am honored to receive a response from the legend, DennisB.
I am only wanting to fly a small flag, no bigger than 10x15, if that big. I'm going to study on these ideas and anymore if they come along. I will post the results if I can get it figured out...
Again, thank you all for your responses.

| I am always cautious of traveling behind anyone who has the large flags on the back of their motorcycle or their pickup truck. I don't stay behind them very long, if I can't pass, I will pull over to get gas, take a break or something.
My flags on the Goldwing and I also put a POW flag on my trailer for the Run for the Wall ride. |

I saw many G'Wings with trunk racks and cracked trunk lids because they didn't use a good fender washer underneath to spread the load out and relive the stress. |

| Hello, Did some looking around and found this gem. Amazon has the best price on this item and it looked like it would clear the back of the scooter...And it comes with a 6 x 9" USA flag. Might be worth a look. https://www.amazon.com/Pro-Pad-License-Plate-CC-BASE-LPM/dp/B00HXJJ4XK/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1483393142&sr=8-2-fkmr0&keywords=Pro+Pad+License+Plate+Flag+Mount+With+6%E2%80%9D+X+9%E2%80%9D+Usa+Flag |

| Rivco is a good company and they make a license plate flag mount.
I found this one on ebay. Cheap, but it might serve your purpose. Comes with the flags too.
