| Last year in August I purchased a 2009 Honda SW with 23,000 miles on it. It felt like the belt was slipping so I ordered new sliders and a new belt and replaced the rollers with the Dr. Pully sliders an new belt and they are both installed correctly. I thought I was hearing a noise from the left rear of the bike ( sitting on the bike ) before I changed the rollers to sliders. The noise is still there and I'm thinking it's coming from the clutch but not sure. I was wondering if anyone else has this noise from around the clutch area or if this is just a standard noise? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This bike also has a Tow-Pac trike kit on it.
I have replaced the bearings in the left rear trike wheel and installed new tires on trike part thinking that was it but not.

| It's not uncommon for noises from that area due to clutch shoes and clutch bell glazing. But a little more info about your circumstance would be helpful.

| Did you ever think the drive train is not designed for the extra strain of a trike kit---with OEM belt, and stock parts in the clutch, etc-----I would just ride it....until something breaks....which it will being overworked! |

| Mr Grinsel makes a valid point.
The only way you could address the issue of the additional stress the trike kit puts on the clutch is to replace the OEM clutch with a Dr Pulley HiT clutch kit. |

| also check the condition of the final drive oil, may be worth changing while you are poking around down there. |

| I really don't believe there's much added stress to the mechanical system on the bike using a tow-pack or other trike (actually quad) kit. The two extra wheels actually take some of the strain off the rear wheel's load. The whole system doesn't add all that much more weight to the bike, less than a pillion rider.
