| How about a nice new clean thread about replacement tires!! please dont troll. if you have not used a tire dont make unfounded opinions on it, if you have used a particular tire please make comments about it.
simply post your experience with your own replacement tires or ask for comments about a tire you are interested in.
i need a new tire 3.2k miles on a Michelin Pilot Power Pure SC Front Tire - 120/80B-14/Blackwall wont cut it.
so what to do about a new tire with so many options i have gone though about 15 to 20 tires and not found one worth repeating yet, this Pilot had everything we want except for mileage thats its only negative.
pics are loaded to Lightshot its a screen shot app.

| It's a idea, although I've already made a number of posts about fitting a matched pair of all season Continental ContiMove 365 tyres as replacements for Bridgestone Hoops. Just as others have posted about fitting Metzeler, Pirelli, IRC, Bridgestone, etc. |

| First look at what Honda recommends for your bike-----you didn't state what year, but I think early ones it was Birdgestone Hoop----my experience, Hoop rear wears square. Last ones like my 2013 leftover, IRC----matched pair work fine.
But my favorite rear---Michelin Power Pure SC, lasts 10,000 miles, wears round. Ok on front, but nothing special.
Tires, properly inflated, balanced very important----speak from 80,000 miles or a little more with 2 new SilverWings-----life time, I figure about 450 MC/Scooter tires. I do own tire work, as that way I know it gets done right. |

| i just purchased the Shinko based on good reviews on amazon "" No complaints at all, riding on it for about 10 months and maybe 4,000 miles, hardly any wear at all, great price.""
so will see. i liked the Michelin Power Pure VERY well, zero cupping and zero issues with the tire excellent in rain and dry ballanced held correct psi with zero leakage, for 90 bucs it only lasted 3.2k miles thats my only complaint. |

| A few thousand miles ago, I fitted a new pair of Metzeler Feel Free (? Feel what for free?) Wintec tyres that are supposedly suitable 365 days of the year!
I do not recommend them due to the fact that they are out of round. Very apparent when viewed side on and spinning the wheel by hand - both tyres! This may be the cause of my steering problems mentioned below.
They felt truly rock hard before I fitted them and my derriere feels it over our moonscape roads.
I know the next is a common Silver Wing complaint, but the steering wobbles at low speed when it was perfect before fitting them - and yes, I've checked head bearings, etc.
The rear end stepped out a couple of times last weekend on a dry, but admittedly polished, road surface. Grip in the wet and general wear seems reasonable, but too early to say definitively.
So, poor build quality is my main gripe and I'll be looking at other tyres before these are very worn. |

| 2005 S'Wing, Metzeler Feelfree rear, Bridgestone Hoop front, were on it when I bought it at 8,000 miles. I don't know what original tires were on it but both tires were not to the wear bars when I replaced them with Dunlop Scoot's. No cupping on the front and the rear wasn't worn flat I saved them both for a just in case situation.Time will tell on this new set. |
