Off on trip-Maine

Tuesday---off on ride to Maine from TN. May go thru some Canada, but no plans other than going. Weather looks good at least for a few days--in case gets real cold, my feather jacket packed---works as very warm liner to my Aerostich Darien Jacket, will also wear my Darien pants with long under wear, underneath--- take many pair of gloves and of course rain mitts. Waterproof Wolverine boots-----dressed in Aerostich and the waterproof boots I do not have to stop to put on raingear in case of rain and hopefully no snow.

Motel 6 will be used instead of camping, McDonalds to eat, reg gas, changed oil on bike yesterday. ATF on chain, fresh rear tire.

Standard seat on CB300F=ok.For this and back I will follow stop ever hour or 50 miles, if this does nothing else it relieves bordom and gives body a break. My main problem is if go 400 miles in a day---my ears get tired of the foam plugs during the last miles.

No goals or must see---been there many times

That's one of the best ways to ride, just a basic outline, and take what comes. GO!

Some of the best trips are only 1/2 planned. Go from point A to point B and if a side trip comes along so much the better.
