| Donna and I left Wed. morning for a day ride to Tail of the Dragon, but , by the time we finished we found ourselves in Pigion Forge....We decided to stay the night at Best Western with an end of day swim and hot tub....buying our swim suits at the local family dollar with tooth brush and etc., Now we have a small bag that we always take with us for those special moments when it is too much fun to end days. Hope you all have miles of smiles. |

| The planning of a trip can seem hectic but is a fun time with all the anticipation it brings. But being spontaneous and flexible has provided some great memories for my wife and me. One example; Sunday River Resort in Maine holds Full Moon dinners at their North Peak Lodge. One year when the email announcing the Harvest Moon Dinner arrived, we decided in about 5 minutes to take this in and the hotel was booked within the next 5 minutes. This wasn't a drive to the end of the street for dinner; but about 900 kms (one way). We have never regretted this 1800 km, 3 hotel night drive for a fancy dinner. We had never skied there before and had no skis with us on this adventure either. But what a great time it was.

| Pigeon Forge is a popular spot. 10 years ago wife and i were there . After Labor Day not bad everybody left not crowded.
Rode over to Dragon. Foggy in valleys but nice as we climbed up on 321. One of the best views i ever saw sunny on top fog lower looked like snow with a few peaks in the distance. Never forget that.
Dragon was fun a good work out arms were pumped after that ride. |
