| My brother lives in Carmel, IN NE of INdy and I live in SW Ohio NE of Dayton. It is 1 hour 54 minutes by the I-70 race track.
But I googled directions avoiding Interstates and in 2 hour 45 range, I have about four good routes and my favorite gets me to Highway 36 and it is a wonderful drive on a scooter especially if you are a novice rider like me. There are a couple stretches that have to be 5-7 miles or greater, without a curve. Wide two lane road with low traffic.
I am looking for ward to taking Hiway 36 east trough Ohio towards Pittsburg on a ride soon. |

| Sometimes it takes me 45 minutes to buy a loaf of bread. I take a different route to the grocery store and I live on the same street 3 blocks away! |

| Just shows how different people are. I avoid roads that don't have curves, the pleasure for me is keeping a steady 50- 60 mph whilst going around curves. For me, nothing more boring than riding along a straight road for mile after mile. |

You of course have to make a pilgrimage into North Yorkshire to ride those pleasurable curvy roads at a steady 50-60 mph. Because over in Lancashire it's all cobbled streets and there's nearly as many fixed 30mph speed cameras as there are lamp posts! |

| Nearly right Meldrew, there are some great roads in Cheshire and Shropshire that bring a smile as well as Yorkshire. |
