Some months ago I posted about a problem with my 15 amp fuse ( covering ign/fuel pump) keep blowing. I thought it had something to do with the tilt sensor. I have not bothered getting it sorted as I had another scooter to use. Today I got an auto electrician in to investigate. He traced the fault to a short in the wiring loom. He had to cut into the loom to trace the wire. It was shorting out because it was rubbing against the water pump housing, he said it looked like someone at Honda had forgotten to use a cable tie to keep the wiring away from the pump housing. This information may be of use to other members should anyone else ever have the same problem. See original post: https://www.silverwing600.com/t10858-angle-sensor#111109

Glad you got it sorted out. I HATE electrical problems. Probably because I don't know a thing about them and they are so hard to find. But looking at the bright spot you now have two scoots to ride. Now comes, "Do I want to ride this one or that one?" Decisions Decisions...

Glad you found it and more so that you posted the answer. Things like this can be preventative too, now we can look and make sure others are not touching in that area.

You are right about that phil. I went through at least twenty fuses looking for the fault. I got so fed up I called the wing all the names under the sun, fortunately I had bought another bike in May last year so, I have been using that. I am used to the Cruisym 300 now and prefer the less weight with hardly any loss of power as I cruise at 50/60 mph, and it returns 90mpg. The Silverwings days are numbered I think, I bought it new in 2014 and now at 40,300mls it might be time to say goodbye.

When I posted originally about the fault find, I was going off what the auto electrician said. On checking in the Workshop manual I find the cable was actually rubbing on the thermostat housing Not the water pump housing. Sorry for giving wrong info.
