| 18391-ML8-000 is definitely the right part number, and looks to be correct across all years.

Maybe you've been sent the wrong part?

| Is it the inside diameter that appears too small bud ? If so take a small file to the header pipe, file gently until you get it back to steel, these seals have a habit of 'bonding' themselves in place. |

| I always carried one of the gaskets/packings with me---they are another items shops do not carry in stock. Of course bike runs without the gasket and probably with no harm---but the noise on long ride can drive you nuts! |

| I recently fitted one of these. I found it a tight fit but a little brute force helped it on.
Mine did appear 'slightly' too small at the inside diameter and removing the remains of the old one took a while, I think it was this which made the gasket appear too small. I'm sure you have the correct part. |

i have removed the muffler and taken some measurements using a caliper ..the outer diameter of my exhaust pipe is 43mm that's what the inner diameter of the gasket should be ....the inner diameter of my muffler (outer diameter of gasket) is 49mm so 18391-ML8-000 is definitely not the correct part and is very smaller in size |

| Hmmm, a quick search on 18391-ML8-000 shows ...........
Genuine Honda exhaust gasket. This exhaust gasket was used on the header pipe #1 and #3 where they insert into the collector box on the CB400F. Avoid exhaust leaks due to old gaskets!
***Note these Dimensions: I.D. - 31.9mm / O.D. = 37.3mm / Width 25.4mm
Honda part number: 18391-ML8-000 ......................................................................................................................................
So that looks to be the wrong item number bud, what you actually need is ...... PACKING,MUFFLER (NAS) product number: 18392MJ4670
