| Hello, could somebody tell me what led brake/tail light bulb works on our scooters. Tried Sylvania 7443, close but no cigar. Thank you, Paul. |

| If I Recall Correctly. It’s an acronym... computer shorthand. You can use any brand of 1157 bulb. Yes, readily available at an auto supply store near you. |

| Thanks, never heard that one. I like it! My scoot is a 2013, doesn't use 1157, uses rectangular elements. The search continues. |

| Remove an old bulb and take it to an auto supply store. They can match it. |

I suppose the only Silver Wing owners who can answer your query are the rare individuals that have researched and replaced their OE filament bulbs with LED bulbs and posted about it on here. |

Believe it or not, I've done that! |

| My mistake Paul, the 1157 bulb is for the rear turn signal. And I was even wrong with that because the 1157 is a white bulb while the actual turn signal bulb is amber. I changed my turn signal bulbs to dual filament LEDs to function as both red running lights and red turn signals.
By all appearances, and a lengthy internet search, that wedge base, dual filament 7443 (12V 21/5W) bulb should be the correct replacement for the running/brake lights. The license plate bulb is also a wedge base bulb but is smaller and a single filament (12V 5W).
Honda part #’s for these bulbs are: 34906-MBB-611 for the running/brake light; 33301-SA0-741 for the license plate bulb. |

| Thanks Tim, those 7443's were just a bit off, would not lock in. Even tried trimming them down. |

Thank you for this question Gustav. I plan to switch over to led's and I wonder if anyone knows the type to be used in turn signals (amber)? |

Why exactly do you need to switch over to LED's? I have full LED lights on my Forza and the only advantages are that they're more energy efficient and the headlights run cooler than halogen bulbs. That's it, running with full LED's doesn’t make me a big shining hi-vis beacon of light out on the road that other road users give me a wide berth. Neither do they give me a smug sense of invulnerability out on the roads. A few years ago there was a similar fad in the maxi scooter community to change halogen headlights to run HID set ups. That was also all about rider visibility, road presence etc. |

I plan to switch over to led's and I wonder if anyone knows the type to be used in turn signals (amber)? The OEM is an 1156 (single contact) amber bulb. Here’s a link for an 1156 amber LED bulb. https://www.amazon.com/SYLVANIA-1156-Amber-Contains-Bulbs/dp/B01CO1FE4E You’ll also need load resistors to stop the lights from hyperflashing. One load resistor for each bulb you’ve replaced with an LED. https://www.pilotautomotive.com/led/IL-LDRS-A.html |
