I hope fellow 'Northern-dwellers' here in the UK have survived the storm in one piece.

The wind here in Seaham reached Violent Storm Force 11 last night and is still measured as Storm Force 10. I think, too, there were gusts well into the Hurricane category (12) on the Beaufort Scale.

I took the covers off 'Adso' and 'HAL' yesterday evening as I thought they'd be less likely to blow over without them on; both have survived unscathed.
One of the bolts to which my 'sail' sunshade is attached snapped off but I've dealt with it and will fix a new bolt in the wall in due course.

Take care, everyone; it's not over yet. Wink

I feel your pain, and yes covered is worse. I had a GSGK1100, covered at my workplace, a strong storm blew through, tore the cover off and knocked the bike over. To top it off the cover landed on the factory roof, yes I got it back.

I hope everyone is safe. I hate storms that get up into the severe category. I don't mind rain, wind and lightning or a snow storm unless they get into the severe areas. Then they start to worry me.

PostSubject: Storm winds in Devon    Red Warning I_icon_minitimeSun Nov 28, 2021 2:42 am

The winds were strong enough to blow my 2001 Silverwing over. Thankfully it toppled onto a grassy area so nothing more than a few superficial scratches. Bike started first time so could have been a lot worse.
