| Just picked up a thirsty 2003 Swing here in Tucson Az.
Just bought coolant oil and extra for the final drive. Ordered a new air filter as well as a striker pin for the right glove box. I checked the oil on the dipstick when I bought it the oil looked brand new but was erroneously over filled so going to change it before I ride any further. My Swing has a old Corbin seat and had to do the washer trick to get it to lock. luckily the last owner took out the bulb to keep the light off but now that it is fixed I threw it back in.
I do have to say it is a very agile and fun bike. My other bikes are a 2006 crf 450r, 2012 wr450SM and a 2007 Honda Hornet (919).
thanks for allowing me to join!! (I've been lurking for about 3 weeks now)

| Hello Cannavis. Welcome to the forum.
Silverwings are somewhat infamous for getting a dead battery because that trunk light was left ON. Most of us here have removed that light bulb so that that problem doesn’t happen again. While others have changed the bulb itself to an LED bulb or changed the light fixture itself to an Accura ‘dome light’ fixture which incorporates an actual ON/OFF switch. |

| Welcome Cannavis, I'm in Tucson also down here here in the southeast at Irvington and Harrison. Right now I'm on my fourth Silverwing since 2008. They are great for getting around Tucson. Good luck and welcome aboard. |

-Cannavis Make sure when checking the oil that you don't screw the dipstick back in, just let it sit on top with the bike on the center stand. Screwing it in can give a false reading of being over filled. |

| Welcome Cannavis to the BEST SWing forum on the net. Lots of info here with people ready and willing to help. I also removed my under seat light shortly after joining this forum due to what others have said about it. Haven't had a problem with it since. Mainly because it's not there anymore... I carry a small LED flashlight under the seat. |

| Welcome Cannavis! Enjoy the forum. I am one who installed the Acura light fixture:
https://www.hondapartsnow.com/genuine/honda~light~assy~34260-SH3-004.html
Simple to install and has a switch! I too carry a LED flashlight/ torch under my seat as the placement of the OEM light is not great. |
