Firstly, Seasonal Greetings to everyone and thank you for allowing me to join you all. Secondly this is my first time using a forum so bare with me if I mess up. That aside I would just like to thank everyone involved in making this the "Go to.." forum for Swings!

And Merry Crimbo to you too JohnyC, welcome to the strange world of maxiscooters (well the owners anyway) Most of the inmates on this forum are stateside, but there are a few of us over here in the UK still clinging to the wreckage

Thanks steve_h80. Seems I've joined the SAS (Swing Appreciation Society) a bit late in its service life but looking forward to dragging as many miles as I can out of it. Joining feels akin to joining the cast of Last of the Summer Wine (no diss intended) through deeds and thoughts I have read here, so right at home for me!

Sorry, completely forgot to do a potted history so here goes. Time served engineer who migrated into the automotive repair market, bikes took back seat to family needs. Retired 4 yrs ago @ 65 to be diagnosed with advancing C.O.P.D.......fml Had to hide away for 2yrs when Covid broke, at the start of the second year of isolation I acquired a barn find 1999 Suzuki an400 skywave(literally dumped under chicken coops for 2 yrs) project to save my sanity! Took about 3 months to get it road legal, new tyres, brakes, belt, forks overhauled, derust and paint and documentation(that took 3 months). Never content as an engineer I soon discovered Dr.Pulley sliders, acquired and fitted... what a transformation... staggering difference! All was well in the hood. Until I saw a Swing........"Shiny" must have, found an 09 on Ebay with less than 20k miles on it but 7 owners....decided to go for it after all it is a Honda. Same as the Suzi, new tyres, brakes, belt, fork seals as it blew the nearside seal on the journey home with it. Couldn't find anyone selling Dr.Pulley sliders but did find TechPulley Flying Rollers II(German version).Went for a Boosterplug injection unit(plug and play)as no commanders available. If you want details visit the web site, needless to say it works very well, its cheaper and cures the inherent lean burn stage 1 injection, stage 2 and 3 being Mapped correctly as stock. Currently waiting for Interpro progressive springs from source through an agent that lists swings in the UK and a Mollosi fly clutch and new bell. One side note, the fork seals I managed to source from a Honda main agent as the Ebay set leaked after 1/2 a days use, also the seals and dust covers are the same as fitted to the Burgman( 99 Swing 09). Going with Loosemarbles approach to removing the bell when it arrives.
