| Hello all, Mega quick one , as at work, full intro post coming i promise, been a long time forum lurker so far.. My battery earth lead has corroded off at the connction to the starter motor... Removing the passenger peg panel, the seat panel, the tool box panel , and i still cannot see how you would get a tool onto the bolt to undo the old connecter... Do i have to remove the airbox attached to the throttle bodies as well? Will check in after work , provide more info, and write thst intro post. Cheers Si, aka Mr Fox. 2008 silverwing abs. |

| Hi Fox.
Yes to the air box because it's fixing below is covering the bolts you need as shown on page 1-27 of the Manual.
Here's the link if you need a manual. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1cpsqEmvlpa4A4qDPLVGbqlwMfpqnZ0EM
Hope this helps.
Be safe, be seen!

| " Do i have to remove the airbox attached to the throttle bodies as well? " This video may help, not sure, but I think he may have taken more off than needed , you could probably attach that ground wire to other bolt on engine block https://youtu.be/NmEReZcaScQ?si=feiHDNLuK7gr6P8i |

| Hi,
Thanks for the replies so far.
Last njght after work continued on and removed the full rear body work and storage under seat.
Can see the air box (air plenum chamber i believe) fully.
Removed hose between it and airbox on side.
Removed the two bolts on the side of the bracket that appears to attach the airbox plen to the engine.. now....
We have slight movement, but feels like i am missing something. Is it just brute force? I watched the video from zrx, and the way the box just easy flexes up is what i was expecting at this point. Only difference i can see is he removed the seat bracket support fram, and floor panele.. but that doesnt look like it would stop the airbox moving any way...
Back to.work. an hour before rain when i get home so then shall continue.
Thanks for help so far.
******** Update - bike now running, earth cable swapped (with plenty of frustration though, rounded rusting screws etc). Over the weekend hope to get all the body panels back on etc. Once again thanks for the help. I shall see to that intro post ;-)
