| Hi All.
My name is Dave and I manufacture and sell Side Case Racks for the Suzuki 650 Burgman. See here:
http://sites.google.com/site/suzukiburgmansidecaseracks/home
I was able to justify the set up cost etc because the 650 Burgman body style has not changed since 2002.
I have been asked on numerous occasions for racks that will fit the Silverwing so I am asking for some info.
Some back ground on the Silver wing body design, views on the popularity of having hard lockable side cases for the Wing and is there a rack out there anywhere?
Regards Kiwi Dave. |

http://silverwing.org/cgi-bin/topic_show.pl?pid=1830;hl=side%20rack has a lot of the links for side racks. Thanks Bill for the links. There appears to be only one Side Carrier and only for one side of the bike, made by the German Company Fehling. Lots op Top Cases and Top Case, Carriers. |

| I've had Fehling's chrome on a maxi and I'm really not very impressed with it. The chrome plate is very thin and is prone to rust round the joints. Before Givi produced the P206 mount I looked at their range of racks for other bikes and found one I thought could be adapted for the Silverwing - it's in my list of Favourites so I'll dig it out later. I'm sure the P206 would support Givi hard luggage although I doubt one can buy just one box. Perhaps it'd be possible to do a deal with someone else who wants only one and buy a pair between you. |

| Thanks for the info Mike. I understand that Fehling make all the side case racks for Givi. Can you confirm that the P206 is for only one side? By the way, you are able to buy most Givi Side Bags singularly, provided the bags are priced per bag (which most do) and no statement "sold as a pair" is made. |

| I confirm the P206 is for the Right-Hand Side only and also that Givi list only three bags for it; the T450, 457 and 467. They are all soft bags although the mounting-points are Monokey-style and will fit on the Givi topbox rack. Thanks for the information about the side cases. I didn't know Fehlings made the racks. I think they're painted rather than chromed - a good thing. |

| I wouldnt shoot down the idea of the side cases. I would prefer hard side cases to a trunk anyways, they typically look nicer. |

| If you search under saddlebags someone mentions a givi t222 being the other side. You would have to order it from the uk as it is for the sw400 but may work with minor if an mods to a 600. |

| I think the T222 is a support/tie-down point for soft saddlebags to keep them off the body, not a mount for Monokey or Monolock luggage.
