| Check tire pressures regularly. Upping the pressures slightly (maybe 36psi) if you are a smaller person might help resolve this issue. |

| It is an odd wear pattern where the outer edges of the tire (sorry, tyre ) wear in a slightly cupped fashion. More akin to a shallow scallop shell than a cup. Hence the term "scalloping" You can feel it if you place your fingers across the face of the tyre and run your had along the surface, you may feel a sharp edge that catches the fingers. The tyre can still be ridden (if the wear bars are not showing) although it will generate a pretty loud growling noise. Most tyre noise on a motorcycle is due to tyre wear. |
