Hi from New Zealand. I don't own a Silverwing yet, but ride a SYM Citycom 300i at the moment. I would like to learn more about the Silverwing as it is the ultimate scooter.
cheers

Welcome to the forum - enjoy the ride.

The Citycom 300 is an interesting bike. I like the look of it and have heard plenty of good about it. The SilverWing is (at least to me) the ultimate scooter.

Hi and welcome.

I previously rode a Sym, (Shark), although a 125 it was a very good scoot and very serviceable. (Shares a few common items with Honda as well.) Never had one problem with it. Currently riding a Silver Wing and don't foresee changing it to be honest.
Ultimate ride - Mmmmm - reserve judgement as I have only owned it for eight months. (But it does tick all the boxes).

Welcome to the forum the SYM is a good scoot but every day on the SYM is a day missed on the Swing. Don't waste your days and again welcome.

Welcome to the board!

I have read your posts on the scootdawg forum, and really enjoyed them. (For those of you who don't know, Scootdawg is THE forum to go to if you want info on mainland Chinese scooters. Kiwiscoot originated a post there about the Citycom that has 391 replies and 17,836 views!)

You will probably find the Silverwing to feel quite different than the Citycom, because you sit in it rather than on it. At your height, you may feel that you have been crammed into the Swing. Not trying to talk you out of it, but just making and observation. You can modify the buttrest to gain an inch or two of additional legroom. I am 6' tall, and feel the legroom is decent but not great with the modification. It also turns it into a true backrest, which is ridiculously comfortable for any length ride!

I do think that you will like the additional acceleration compared to the Citycom. Fuel consumption will be up too. On the other hand, cruising at 100+ kph is effortless. Storage is probably better on the Swing too.

Let us know what you think of the Swing once you get it.
