| This has already happened. Evidently I didn't push down on the seat hard enough to latch it. Fortunately it was only a couple of hours but what if it would have been all night, would the Swing still start! The battery is 12V 10ah and the trunk bulb 3.4 watts or .28 amps. After some research, I think ampere hours is amps times hours. So if you take .28 amps times say 35 hours, you get almost 10 ampere hours which is max for the Swing battery. 35 hours is approx a day and a half that the trunk light would be on. So, if your battery is fully charged (remember the clock is running) you'd probably have at least a full day before the Swing would not start. Course this is ballpark. Now, has anyone else worked this out! Is the above reasonable!!!! Dale M |

| You know, at this point I almost hate to point you to the other board for anything, but.... we actually have solved the problem.

| Dan, Both of your links just go to the main page of the www.silverwing.org site. So I think his links won't work here anymore. |

| The LED replacement for the under seat bulb is T10x31. Here's a thread from the other S/W forum:

It should draw far less power and looks to be quite a bit brighter.

| JC, The owner of the silverwing.org site won't allow links to work at his site. Your link, like Dan's, just goes to the main page. Thanks. |

| I have mounted an independant switch next to the lamp and installed a LED globe. Because I am paranoid Ive got a small flashing LED next to the seatlock just in case I haven't closed the seat properly |

Here's a picture I found of a T10x31 LED bulb that will fit the under seat storage area light of a Silver Wing. And this shot is apparently the brightness of a T10x31 in action. I hope this is helpful. I have found the T10x31 listed in the PIAA catalog so it should be available almost anywhere... JC |

| On the other site, go into "parts and accessories" and then "Interior trunk light replacement with switch." It will show you a direct swap out replacement fixture that includes a switch. |

| Like the led light, also think I'll put a switch in when changing the bulb. I use Linux Mint with Firefox and it goes to the links with no problem by default, at least I haven't made any changes that I know of. Craig |
