| Well I installed my givi and this time around I watched and took notice of my fuel useage with the stock screen before switching over. I i wanted to see the difference in milage riding conservitave . I noticed that I actually hit I think like 55 or better before the 1sr bar dropped on my fuel guage. No matter what I LOVE MY GIVI but im curious to see whats gonna happen now with so much more windscreen and wind drag. I do know 1 thing. I absoloutly love this givi the height is awesome for me. As me personally I like looking through the windshield instead of over it. Ya I know mist rain etc. But been there and done it on my 07 only a hand full of times and I didnt get the needels in the face :-) with my givi on my 07. I hit a tad of rain on this passed sunday and my stock shield did absoloutly nothing to keep my face dry. Im sure we all have our prefernces looking over looking through . But its installed and ready for its maden voyage on trigger. Of course I had to bling that also with the chromed door trim molding :-) you all know me blllllllllllllllllllllllllllliiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggg :-) Ill get some photos when my chrome mastercylkinder caps are on. Funny it took me so long to do all my stuff to my 07 but my 09 was less then a week. |

| I agree trans, I and my wife love the Givi. When we first got the Swing, the stock sheild did not make the wife happy. She would get windburnt riding behind me. The Givi has corrected the perfectly. The height on the Givi keeps her out of the wind zone. That is why I'm leary of the new Givi adjustable, the height difference in the full up position is too low to protect her I think. I'll just stick with the one I have for now and ride. |

| Hey Eddie, Good new you got your Givi installed. When I bought the SWing, my wife and I went for about a 50 mile ride and she hated it with the stock screen. It was bouncing my head all around and hers even worse. She said she liked my Majesty better...but that was because I had the Givi with the Laminar Lip all the way to the top. But then I got the Clearview and it was a good screen but just flexed way too much. Then it was the Givi and it is a tall screen and she really liked it but did notice some back pressure. She hasn't ridden on the back yet with the Givi Airflow but I have to say it would be just as good. But I will have to see what happens this winter when it rains. It doesn't ran out here in the S.F. bay area in the summer so I will have to wait until this winter to find out. So what is your next project Eddie !!!! Jim, I don't think the height has much to do with the new Airflow since it is designed to really push the air up, at a fast rate, adn over your head. It is like a "supercharged" Laminar Lip. I will get back to you when I ride my wife on the back to see if the Airflow works as good as the Givi. But the stock Givi is a good shield and is nice and tall. If your wife likes it I would stick with it or she may not ride with you. |

| Thanks Jeff for the info. Let me know how your wife likes it compared to the fixed Givi. Just hate to spend the money on another windshield and find out it doesn't make the better half as happy, LOL. Jim |

| Eddie, The reason its so quick to bling this time is that you aren't experimenting. You know what you like and what you don't. I can't tell you how many thousands of dollars I spent on things that are no longer on my scoot because I bought the wrong thing the first time or simply didn't know about something better until after I had spent money. My first shield was a GIVI and then I went to clearview. I had pegs before I had floorboards. I installed the japanese side cowls before I realized how poorly they were made (wouldn't do that again) etc. So this time you learned from your past and didn't spend money on mistakes. Dan |

| HEY JEFF, just wondering if your wife has rode with you yet, and if she had any input on the Givi adjustable, yet? |

| Jim,
She hasn't rode it yet. I know it has been along time but she doesn't ride too much and we have been very busy. I will ask her if we can go for a quick ride this weekend to see if she likes it. I can't see why she shouldn't though since it does do a great job. Let me get back to you and sorry I haven't yet. |

| In my high mile opinion----if your are looking thru windshield you are cruising for a crash----think bugs/sunset/dirt/rain/snow/sleet-----fair weather riders and trailer bikers still get caught in bad weather.
Then how about nite time----not clear vision.
New Adj Givi does at last allow you to see.
I spent time cutting down Givi shield so I could see, in more than one application.

| I just returned from Glenpool having some mods installed in preparation to my triking kit later. I have the new adjustable shield and my first impression of it is awesome. It is so quiet. I love it. I also rode in about 150 miles of rain. My unscientific opinion of that experience is that it does a good job. I was in some showers that were downpours. I got wet. But I did not notice water blowing between the two sections of the screen. There was some, but it did not seem significant. Remember, I was in a very severe rain system. I had the shield at the mid point and was looking over the shield. Rain was going over my head. Hands were protected by the "bits" "Little things" hand guards. I was not buffeted by the wind at all. (except for some side-wind gusts) I should have stopped and moved the windshield up to the top position for testing at that position, but it was really nice to be looking over the shield and not having the rain hit me in the face. On my earlier Givi, it was right at the edge of my sight height. I could stoop just a bit and look through or stretch just a bit and look over. The new adjustable gave me some really good looking over view. Another thing you might want to know. I was riding at speeds of 60 to 80 MPH on interstate and noticed no flexing of the shield at all.
I am very pleased. |

| Glad to see your rain report on new adj shield. I am in AL today, might get some rain on return in the AM.
I have about 2,000 quick miles on my new shield---so far only a few rain drops.------it does keep my comfort zone to 65 or 70 mph in normal riding in the see over position.
It seems to be best solution for wind management on these scooter and their windshield which are designed wrong in the first place |
