| The Perfect Connector – The safe way to connect extra rear scooter lights. A great little pig tail connector that allows a person to install trailer lights or Top Box lights without cutting into your very expensive Honda wiring cable. Just un-plug your Honda rear lights connector and then plug in the Perfect Connector and you have all your wires to connect to. Brake, Running, Left and Right, and Ground wires. Comes with 12” wire leads and instruction sheet to help you with hook-up. $32.00 USD w/free shipping to the lower 48, $3.50 USD International (First Class) OR If you need a different configuration for the installation of a Brake Light Flasher Unit (comes with crimp type wire splices for easy hook-up) on Red, Black, and White lead wires. Red = Brake signal in (from bike). Black = Flashed Brake signal out (to lights). White = Ground wire. $32.00 USD w/free shipping to the lower 48, $3.50 USD International (First Class) |

| One of the great advantages of having the 'right' part is that it can be removed as easily as fitting it. I reckon Dennis's connector takes less than ten seconds to fit or remove and for the purpose I have used it (Admore light-bar - also a neat bit of kit) enabled me to do much of the work 'on the bench' rather than fiddling about finding the right wires to tap into. As far as buying tools goes I've bought quite a few just to do one job. It may be a bit costly but there's no real substitute for having the right one and the saving in time and hassle is always worth it. I don't mind paying for quality - that's why I bought a Silverwing! |

| Hello, I try to keep an eye open (my one good eye) for ways to improve my product line and so I went and purchased a Rhino Pro 3000 Label maker. From this point forward all standard Perfect Connectors and Addmore Perfect Connectors will have their wires marked with permenet wrap around labels if you lose the schematic I send along or you go color blind you can still get an idea of what's going on. This a Great...The Rhino Pro 3000 works wonderful for this.

I sure can make you one. The Perfect connector has five wires. You'll need to get a 5 to 4 wire trailer wire converter. I think you can get them off ebay for a low cost. I'll do some checking to see if I can find you one.
OK...Try this, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/5-Pole-4-Pole-Trailer-Converter-Wire-Connecter-Kit-/120760190799?pt=Motors_RV_Trailer_Camper_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c1dde474f |

| Hello Dennis,
Are you still producing these? I feel the need for two, possibly with different wiring configurations:-
1. An ignition switched feed at the front, to power my Tomtom. I assume the headlight feed would be the best. An alternative would be the feed to the 12V socket in the left side glove box. (I have the UK spec bike). I think I'd also add an inline switch to cut the feed to the TT cradle, for when I'm not using it.
2. From the brake lights circuit to feed my Givi box.
Can you supply? The first is the more important.
Thanks.

| Meldrew I agree the posi-taps are the best way to tap into a wire without damaging the wire. Last time I placed an order from posi-lock I ended up spending $85. On the bright side I'll never need to order again. I did end selling half my order to my local scooter shop. I still used one of Dennis's Perfect Connectors I had a friend get for me when he placed an order from Dennis. Dennis's Perfect Connectors are great, makes for a clean install. |

The Posi products look like a good way to "tap" into a wire, but I don't see how they don't cause damage. They may not require the conductor to be fully exposed or cut, but unless they work by induction (and they can't), contact can be made only by perforating the insulation. Perforation = hole = damage = need to repair when removed. Besides, you have to choose the correct size and wire. "Dennis products" offer a simple, clean install/remove. They may not be cheap, but neither are they mass produced in China. Support your local sheriff! |

| Since we live in England mate, I wouldn't say China or the US is exactly local to us, and our Sheriffs don't need supporting they're just expenses grabbing local worthies dressed in ceremonial robes. I looked at buying Posi-Lock connectors last year to fit a 12v plug to my Garmin sat nav. Since I couldn't find them locally I dug out my crimp kit and used crimps. But I've found online I can buy a 26 piece kit of all the various versions of the Posi-Lock connectors in a handy storage box for about $52 with postage to the UK. That's sufficient for more uses than I'll ever find for them. As for perforation = hole = damage, a couple of layers of PVC electrical tape over any cut in the insulation sorts that problem out. Not that it would matter to me as any Posi-Locks connections I used would be permanent, they're waterproof too. |

They may not be cheap, but neither are they mass produced in China. Support your local sheriff! Colin B, first, posi-taps do perforat the insulation with a pinpoint small hole that will not cut any strands of wire and can be sealed waterproof with a dab of liquid tape or just wrapped with tape if they need to removed. which is unlikely as I usually use them as permanent applications. I say these are best in this application as the other choice is the kind that you squeeze over the wire and in doing so you can cut some of the strands of wire lowering the load the wire can carry. As for having to choose the correct size and wire of course you do, any time you do wiring work you need to use the proper size wire. Next, as I said in my other post I used one of Dennis's Perfect Connector for my wiring in the back of my scooter. And I didn't mention I also used one when I added some accessories in the front of my scooter. I never said the posi-taps were better than Dennis's Perfect Connector. There are times when you need to tap into wires that may not be on the Silverwing or someplace that you may not be able to use a fine product like Dennis makes. In that situation posi-taps are the best way to do it. It sounded to me you thought I was meaning posi-taps were better than the Perfect Connector and that is not what I meant to imply. |

Taken as a statement on it's own, I wholeheartedly agree. The Posi taps (which I'd not seen before) look to be a good device for tapping into wires; far tidier and causing less "damage" than other methods I've seen. Taken in context, along with other posts, the inference was that Posi taps were the best solution. - Meldrew wrote:

However, when someone I "know" has gone to the trouble to design and make something that is job specific (the job I want to do) and has received so many accolades, I would be foolish to ignore it. I would certainly not publicly denounce it. I can't can't be bothered with tracing individual wires in a (presumably wrapped) loom, with all the risks associated with tapping the wrong wires - my bike is new and I don't want to invalidate the guarantee! By the way Meldrew, 1 - "Support your Local Sheriff" is the title of a film. I was using it figuratively, not as a suggestion to donate funds to any particular political movement. It was a play on words; an attempt at humour. 2 - I'm not adding "junk", as you put it. Although I may later install a chill box in order to keep the Pimms and cucumber sandwiches cool!! |

| Colin B, now I see we are on the same page. I am a firm believer of not cutting into the factory wiring harness. Anytime I can find a good product made by someone who owns and uses it himself I will go for it. I would trust and use anything Dennis makes that I need. I sure would like to have a new 2013 Silverwing like you. I have never had a brand new vehicle. My two year old Silverwing is the newest vehicle I have ever had. I have put over 45,000 miles on my 2008 Silverwing that I bought used February 26, 2010 so I would not be able to sell my mine for much money as people would think it is ready to blow up. I know at least one person had around 298,000 miles on his Silverwing when someone ran him down so I will keep this one till it's dead. So who knows it may outlive me and I may never get to have a brand new one. |

| Hi Jim, I hope you can wait. I'm leaving on a 3 week trout fishing trip out to California, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, in the morning. Been a very long time since I just got out to go fishing and camping. Last July, I picked up a used 2008, 4 x 8 foot tear drop camping trailer (Little Guy, Silver Shadow) and have been working on it ever since I got it home...Just for this trip. I'm just a little worried about some of the higher lakes because of the drought the news people talk about, out West. I'll be at 7K to 10K lakes. I just hope that there was enough snow pack this year. This is what the trailer looked like when I got it home last July. Added A/C and a swing-down travel protector I designed. Roof rack, extra 12 volt outlets and solar panel charging outlet. |

| Hi Dennis my perfect connector arrived today over here in the UK. All I can say is a great product well packaged, with excellent instructions and I am confident it will do the job I bought it for. I like the idiot proof labels on the wires for the visually challenged! The only down side to it was the extra charge I incurred from customs and the post office handeling charge which worked out at $21! Thanks mate ! |

| Hi Dennis,
Just to let you know Pia got the perfect connector and the flasher module. Bob installed it last night. Took like 5 minutes. Thanks for such a great product. Have a great trip and be safe.
