| Hi all, Haven't posted for awhile. I had internet problems prior to my trip. I have a lot of catching up of posts to read. Just got back from Knoxville, TN. Had a great time. Bob and I rode a total of almost 2900 miles. The most I ever rode. We were northwest, northeast, southwest into North Carolina and Southeast through the GSMNP up the Blue Ridge PKWY and east of Asheville, towards Chiminy Rock State Park. We rode to Knoxville from Chicago in one day and did the same coming home. On the way home we ran into some nasty storms. We did have some bad storms on Wednesday. My first real torential down pour while riding on I40. It was quite the experience. Must say the airhawk was a blessing. Riding around Chicago and Illinois will be quite boring without the twisties and the scenary. This Saturday we are heading to the Northeast/New England States. Our plan of going to see the shuttle launch in Florida fell through when NASA rescheduled the launch till later in July. I took the Swing in for new tires and some other maintenance for this upcoming trip. Catch you all later. |

| Happy to have you back. I'd been checking the weather channel to see where you were. :lol!: Do I have to look for thunderstorms instead of ice storms? |

| HiYo, you make me laugh but maybe there is some truth to your statement. Dennis, missed you too. I find myself pretty busy with getting ready for these trips. I was down in the St Louis area over Memorial Day weekend. After this next trip I will be just riding on weekends when I can. Until the STO Rally in September. Since I bought the Swing last September I've put 7000 miles on it. The longest day in the saddle was going down to Knoxville we rode 558 miles in 13 1/2 hour. After we got our stuff unloaded we needed to get to a grocery store to pick up food and beverages. It was about 9:30 at night. We walked out to the driveway and it was thundering and lighting and beginning to rain. By the time we pulled into the Kroger parking lot and parked and got into the store the sky opening up with buckets of rain. We waited a little while for it to let up and then we headed back to the house we were renting. Great way to end a long day. I here you laughing "HiYo" |

| Cathy... I was wondering where you have been. I forgot to check the weather channel... I made a note and put it on the fridge for future use.
Sounds like you had a good trip. Rain with lightning can really add to any trip.
Yall are really putting the Swing to good use. I think you are making up for the Chicago winters. Riding almost 600 miles in one day would certainly be out of my range. Not so much the butt, our gel cushion might handle that, but, my back would do me in. You young folks amaze me with all your endurance.
Look forward to meeting up with you at the STO. |

| Max B,
I will try and upload some pictures. When I get back from my New England Trip. I just don't have time right now. I need Bob's help because I am computer challanged. Just ask my daughters.
Dennis,
I hope you can make it to the STO Rally I would love to meet you in person.
Gary,
Now I have two of you looking at me for weather.
I haven't been able to see any of your pictures and videos from your trip because my internet was down between Memorial Day and just before I left for Knoxville. I will have more time when I get back from New England.
