| After riding today, noticed that the relay & the inline fuse that powers my Optronics QH-87CD driving lights was noticeably hot. Has not blown the fuse, but seems like the lights are pulling too many amps if these components are that hot. Cannot find specs on Optronics web site to show current draw. Any ideas?? Will try to call Optronics tomorrow & get specs. Thanks Larry |

| Update on hot relay: Optronics says they do not recommend or use a relay in their testing procedure. Wire to 12V source with fuse. Amps = 9.8 /pr. Will try their recommendation & see what happens.?? Larry |

| Hi Larry,
Give these CREE LED bulbs a try. Daylight type - 30 degree #MR16-E6DE

Just wondering...What is your relay value and where do you have it mounted? |

| Hi Dennis: The relay is marked 30 amp 12v. I had it mounted by the battery in the under-seat storage compartment. My "new" set-up seems to be working o.k. so far. The in-line fuse gets warm, but nothing like that relay. Thanks for the suggestion on the LED bulb....will keep in mind if this other set-up doesn't pan out. Larry |
