I was having my normal commute to work. Stopped in a line of traffic, clear of the car in front and over to the right to ensure I had an escape path if needed.

From behind, up drives chav dressed youth, complete with baseball hat and sterio!!! Pulls up within inches of the left side of me. (Were talking UK here.) As we start off he decides he is going to nudge me out of the way - very bad decision on his behalf!!!

As I say, I'm on my to work so I'm not in the best frame of mind. I have my great clod hopping boots on and with little or no thought on my behalf my left reinforced boot collides, (cough,) with the right front wing of his ancient pride and joy!!! If I say so myself the dent was very in keeping with the rest of his vehicle.

As you can imagine he ain't best pleased and I hear a variety of ancient Anglo Saxon being voiced my way.

I stop to give him the opportunity to explain why he tried pushing me into on coming traffic. He decides that driving by and zooming off may be his best option. Good Choice!! I was ready for the pratt, my mini arsenal of argument deciding tools sitting dormant in the glove box!!!

Why is it these young drivers feel they have something to prove when behind the wheel of a car. The rest of the ride to work was quiet albeit the roads were very busy.

Still angry now. Evil or Very Mad

I sympathize. I applaud. I wouldn't do it again though .... cause these days people have no self control and will run you over, kill you and drive off and go have a tea. No concern for life these days.

Enjoy your victory and count yer blessings/fingers/toes that you're still alive Smile

I've often said the only reason that there are so many people
on the road, is because I haven't run them off it.....yet.

But my attitude is in jest, born of frustration, rather than a real threat.

Some however think that bikers have it easy, filtering thru traffic,
and get jealous. So they use a car to "emphasize" who owns the road.

Personally I do own the road...because I am a taxpayer like you.
That doesn't mean I have the right to push you off it.

Glad to hear you're OK. Could have gone much worse. I had a similar situation and she seemed unaware that her front fender had nudged me. Maybe she thought I was on a unicycle. You try to protect yourself from the idiots, but htere are so many of them.

We all know the type... brain dead morons, often with no tax, MOT, Insurance etc Usually seen with mobile to their ear or even worse, texting a mate!

It is a sad fact the young drivers are taught to pass a test, NOT to drive properly these days. However, no one can legislate for the type of dimwit you describe.

Hi Waspie,
Glad it wasn't any worse than what you described. I have to agree with "Chinasaur" though... They may be a bunch of young, self-centered morons but you can't always count on the actions of such idiots... and... they may be much more prepared for you than you for them. Be careful buddy; we don't want to lose you for "any" length of time.
